Lunch & Learn Series
These sessions will be held weekly through the month of September. Guest speakers will address health and wellness issues. Sessions are hosted at noon in the Saulsbury Conference Center on the OC Campus, participants bring their lunch; tea and water are provided. Weekly door prizes. Dates: Sept. 3, 11, 17, and 26.

|Sept. 11||Dr. Jon Staton, Odessa College PHED, chair||Have you ever wondered what your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is? Or wondered what your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) is? They both deal with the amount of Calories a person needs per day to "stay alive" and to "stay alive with function". Come learn how to find your BMR and RMR then learn how that pertains to your Exercise and Nutritional needs.|

|Sept. 26||Amanda Robinson-Chadwell, Epidemiologist and Public Health Emergency Preparedness Manager for the Ector County Health Department||Discussion topics will include Ector County Health rankings and what factors contribute to them. In addition, we will discuss the social determinants of health related to that ranking.|
