Application for Dual Credit

Dual Credit Application Process

Meet with your campus counselor for advisement and to pick up/complete the following forms for submission to Odessa College:

Signatures required:
  • Parent/Guardian
  • Campus principal
  • Odessa College Chief Academic Officer
Students must meet all course eligibility requirements.

Dual Credit Eligibility

  • Demonstrated outstanding academic performance and capabilities as evidenced by GPA, ACT, SAT, or other assessment indicators. (attached documentation as necessary)
  • Student must meet minimum score requirements on placement test(s) specified by Odessa College.
  • Freshman-level students may enroll in at least one or two courses each semester; sophomore students may enroll in at least one or two courses each semester; juniors and seniors may enroll in three courses each semester. Additionally, students must meet the Odessa College prerequisite requirements for all courses to be taken.
  • Approvals from the parent/guardian and the Principal of the High School are required for Dual Credit eligibility.
  • Approval from the Chief Academic Officer of Odessa College is required for freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors taking more than two courses.
  • All students must maintain a ā€œCā€ in each course in order to remain in the dual credit program.
