Welcome to the Transfer Center at Odessa College.
We provide a variety of resources for students planning to make a transfer from the community college to a 4-year university.  If this is your future, we want to help you choose Odessa College courses that will transfer and count toward your university degree.

Sometimes, students don't realize that there is a difference between transferability and applicability. In other words, courses may transfer to a university, but not apply to the major you have chosen.  The Transfer Center offers current and accurate information – whether you need a transfer plan, transfer equivalencies, or general core requirements.  Students have access to computers to conduct searches for all university admission requirements.  We will help you find the answers!

Reverse Transfer
Although it is highly recommended that you complete your associate degree, there are times that transferring may be your best plan.  Academic credits for course work completed at a university are transferred back to OC to satisfy the associate degree requirements.   Courses you have completed at a university are applied to both the associate and baccalaureate degrees.  You must be a former OC student and must meet the OC resident credit requirements.

OC is currently developing a standard reverse transfer process and we will provide additional information on this page as we progress toward that goal.

Residency Credit Requirement – Complete a minimum of 30 semester credit hours, excluding developmental or awarded credits, at Odessa College; and , if the degree is in a career, technical or workforce education program, complete at least 12 semester hours in the major field at Odessa College.

University Advisor/Recruiter Visitation Schedule
University recruiters and advisors come to our campus throughout the year to answer questions regarding admissions requirements, course transfer guidelines, programs available, and other requirements.
**Please check your OC email for upcoming visits from universities.
