 Boys and Girls Club Student Worker 19/week WS

Duties: Tutoring K through 6th grade children, lead and assist in activities for elementary age children.

Requirements: Must be willing to commute to Woodson location at 1037 E Murphy St and/or Wilkerson location at 800 E. 13th St

 Cafeteria Student Worker 19/week NWS

Duties: Serving coffee and pastries. Making coffee

Hours: Monday - Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm

Requirements: Great customer service and experience in food service

Student Worker 19/week WS/NWS

Duties: Monitor visitation registration, monitor front door, enforce housing policies, communicating with residents and staff, filing papers, answering phones, making copies, typing documents, assisting residents, and other duties as assigned.

Hours: Hiring for hours particularly on nights and weekends.  Position starts as soon as possible.

Requirements: At least a high school graduate, reliable, dependent, responsible, self-motivated, flexible, have dependable transportation, isn't offended easily with customer service skills.

Children's Center Substitute Teachers 20/week  WS

Duties: Working with children in the classroom ages 6 weeks to 11 year olds, working in the kitchen, or working in the office.

Requirements: Before hiring: Obtain CPR certification, obtain a background check, sign up for FBI fingerprinting, have a current TB test, obtain 8 hour pre-service training for childcare + 16 additional on-line training hours.

Children's Center Work Study Student 20/week WS

Duties: Work with children in the classroom, run errands around campus, wash dishes (when needed), cleaning, office work, and other duties as assigned, etc.

Requirements: Must obtain the following: CPR/First Aide Certification, 8 hour pre-service child care training + 16 additional on-line training hours, pass a background check, be FBI fingerprinted, be free of active Tuberculosis, read the Minimum Standards for Childcare Manual, and be orientated for the position.

 Learning Resource Center Student Worker 20/week WS

Duties: 1. Customer Service at the circulation desk-checking books in and out, helping patrons locate materials, adding money to the students' printing account, answering the phone, processing books for the book sale or boxing up books to go to auction, other clerical duties as needed.

2. Shelving  books- familiarity with Dewey Decimal System, physically able to knee, bend, use kick-stools, or otherwise reach all shelves; dusting and cleaning of the books shelves; shifting shelves of books as needed.

3. Creativity a PLUS! Student will need to help create book displays, posters, signs for various library activities throughout the semester.

 Requirements: Prefer a student who will be at OC long term (longer than one semester) as it takes a while to learn all the processes in the library and we prefer not to train someone new each semester.

 Math Lab, evening lab assistant Math Lab 19/week WS/NWS

Duties: General clerical duties, welcome students entering lab, answering general questions. Answer phone/taking messages. Monitor students, help math tutors/answer mymath

Requirements: Computer knowledge necessary, Microsoft, Excel, and Word

 Math Tutor Tutor 19/week NWS

Duties: Tutor developmental and upper level Mathematics

Requirements: Maintain a 3.0 GPA. Need to have at least completed Pre-Calculus. Knowledgeable in OC math courses.

 Pecos Center Student Worker 19/week WS

Duties: Assist in the office area

Requirements: Must have at least a 2.0 or above GPA and must be taking 6 hours or more this fall semester

Purchasing Student Worker 20/week WS

Duties: Deliveries, Warehouse Maintenance, Cleaning

Requirements: Able to lift 50lbs, current Drivers License

Shift Available: Early Morning through Mid-Afternoon shifts available

Recruitment Student Worker 19/week  WS

Duties: Assist the recruitment/outreach team with recruitment events and tours of large/small groups held on campus. Help prepare and organize recruitment materials for distribution. May also be asked to accompany recruiters to their Elementary, Jr. High and High School events; and perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: Must be a reliable student enrolled in classes at Odessa College. Must have and maintain at least 2.5 GPA. An ideal candidate for this position needs to:     

- exhibit an outgoing people oriented attitude

- be helpful in all duties assigned

- maintain a professional demeanor at all times

- demonstrate good time management, organization, and communication skills

White - Pool House Museum Student Worker 20/week NWS/WS

Duties: Welcoming visitors, assisting with tours of historical home, helping set up and dismantle rotating exhibits, aiding and assisting with scheduled events, and light office procedures such as answering telephones

Requirements: Will train, but prefer someone with an interest in history, professional appearance requested.
