Importing Old E-Mail into Outlook 2003, 2002 or Outlook XP

  1. Open Outlook using your original profile called Outlook

  2. At the top click File > Data File Management

  3. Highlight personal folders and click settings

  4. Highlight all the text in the filename field then right click on the highlighted text and click on copy. Click cancel then click close.

  5. Close Outlook and re-start Outlook using the Exchange profile

  6. At the top click File > Import and Export... and choose “Import from another program or file” then click next

  7. Choose “Personal Folder File (.pst)” then click Next.

  8. Remove any text from the “File to Import” and press CTRL-V to paste the path.

  9. Click the radio button next to “Replace duplicates with items imported”. Click Next.

  10. When the next dialog box opens click Finish.

  11. It may take several minutes for Outlook to upload the info from your PC to the Exchange server. Once it uploads all of your email should be online in the same folders they were originally in.
