Mission Statement

The mission of the Murry H. Fly Learning Resources Center is to provide the finest instructional support, services, and resources for the educational enhancement of the students of Odessa College.

Purpose

OC's Learning Resources Center exists for the following purposes:

• to provide instructional support, services and resources for the first two years of higher education and pre-professional programs for those students preparing to transfer for further education;
  
• to provide instructional support, services and resources for students desiring to obtain the comprehensive skills and knowledge required in specialized fields of occupational/technical learning;
  
• to provide instructional support, services and resources in areas of general and developmental education to prepare students for effective involvement in society;
  
• to provide instructional support, services and resources for continuing education in response to various community needs and desires; and
  
• to provide opportunities for personal enrichment by providing instructional support, services, and resources.
  

Philosophy

The Odessa College Learning Resources Center exists for students, faculty and staff. The LRC is committed to excellence in instructional support, services, and resources.
