Dr. Imogene Freer, remembrances which include that of a lady who lived, loved and enjoyed life, was also a learned and well-travelled wife, mother and educator. Mr. Freer described his wife as a lifelong reader and learner who worked hard to provide a means and opportunity for anyone who wanted to learn to read or to improve their reading skills. Dr. Freer founded the Reading Lab in 1958 and was honored with the Grand Opening of the Dr. Imogene Freer Reading on December 14, 2009. The room was made possible by a donation from her husband and son. The room provides an assortment of books on travel, self-help, personal interest, etc. The books may be checked out at the circulation desk on the first floor.
All students are encouraged to visit the Dr. Imogene Freer Reading Room!
