NJCAA Region V All-Region Basketball Team / WJCAC All-Conference Team
Women's Basketball
Congratulations to both Mariah McCully and Chinna Fair who were named to the NJCAA Region V All-Region Team and the WJCAC All-Conference Team. Along with All-Region and WJCAC recognition, Mariah was also named MVP of Region V and was the WJCAC freshman of the year. Mariah averaged a team high in points (15.4), assists (2.7), steals (2.4) and was second on the team with 5.4 rebounds per game. Chinna also had an outstanding freshman season averaging 12.7 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game and was second on the team with 1.7 steals per game.
Leticia Soares was named to the WJCAC All-Conference Team and Moa Lundqvist was named to the WJCAC Honorable Mention Team. Leticia averaged 9.7 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game while Moa averaged 7.4 points per game and a team high 7.1 rebounds per game. Head Coach, Ara Baten, was recognized as the WJCAC, the Region V and the District 5 coach of the year.
Men's Basketball
Congratulations to both Tyree Robinson and Marlon Hunter who were named to the NJCAA Region V All-Region Team and the WJCAC All-Conference Team. Tyree led the Wranglers in rebounds at 7.0 per game, he was also second on the team in points at 12.8 per game. Marlon also had an outstanding year averaging 12.2 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and 1.0 steal per game. Sammy Barnes-Thompkins who led the team in points at 13 per game was named to the WJCAC All-Conference team. Head Coach, Tra Arnold, was recognized as the District 5 coach of the year.
The men and the women both had terrific seasons. The women finished the year with a 29-2 overall record, a Region V Championship and an elite 8 appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament. The men finished the year with a 28-6 overall record, a Region V Championship and an elite 8 appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament.
