July 25, 2023 - Hours of Operation 

Odessa College Downtown will celebrate its grand opening on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 8 am until 10 am. Odessa College Downtown will remain open until 1 pm on July 27^th so those who were unable to attend the grand opening can experience this grand, new space designed for entertainment and education. Odessa College Downtown will open to the public on August 1, 2023 with limited hours as the college trains personnel and further develops park protocols: 

Odessa College reminds all Odessa College Downtown visitors to:

• If you suspect any situation as potentially threatening to your personal safety or are victimized yourself, call 911 immediately.
• Report maintenance issue, suspicious activity or suspicious people immediately to Odessa College Campus Police at 432-238-6334 (call or text).
• Stay alert and tuned in to your surroundings. Be aware and prepared.
• Trust your instincts, and if you do not feel comfortable in place or situation, leave.
• Use caution when walking alone at all times, and travel in groups whenever possible. 
  

June 28, 2022 - Odessa College will honor and thank its partners, the City of Odessa and Toby
and Sondra Eoff, at the Odessa College Downtown Project kickoff and groundbreaking ceremony. The Kickoff Ceremony will be held in the Wolfcamp Room, located on the first floor of the Odessa Marriott & Conference Center. Following the Kickoff Ceremony, we will move to the actual location of the Downtown Project at the corner of 4th and Jackson for the official groundbreaking ceremony and photos. 

The Project is expected to be completed in 8 months from the beginning of the construction, making it available and ready for public use for events in the summer of 2023. 

Odessa College celebrated the kickoff of the Odessa College Downtown Project at a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the project on Tuesday, June 28. The two-phase project is located at the corner of Fourth and Jackson streets. Phase one includes a large green space, a covered stage, two performance canopies, an entryway, a splash pad, restrooms and parking for food vendors. Phase I construction could begin in the next few weeks and completion of the project is expected in spring of 2023. Phase II includes a 24,000-square-foot academic building with classrooms and conference rooms for students and entrepreneurs to learn and work.
