Texas Success Initiative (TSI)

All public institutions of higher learning in Texas require that incoming students document compliance with TSI, or exemption from it.  The Odessa College Testing Center provides the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) as a drop-in test. The testing fee is $29 ($10 per section for re-testing).

  2. Pay for the TSI Assessment. It will be $29.00 for 3 sections of the exam. If you have previously completed the TSIA and need to retest on a section please choose the appropriate box corresponding to your testing needs. If you are retesting one section it will be $10.00 and if you are retesting two sections it will be $20.00.

How long does it take to complete the TSIA?

We encourage you to take your time and complete the assessment in sections so that you are able to do your best. There are 3 sections, Math, Reading and Writing, and each section takes about 1-1/2 hours to complete; however, that is only an estimation and solely depends on the testing candidates established pace. The test is not timed and you have 14 consecutive days from your start date to complete the exam.
